The 2010 Quaker Service and Study Tour of Bolivia
This is appropriate for Young Friends, Young Adult Friends, and Families! (I’m guessing with at least school-aged children. Contact them for details.) Ann Armstrong sent around the following message and I will include her preface as well.
Dear Friends,
Barbara Flynn visited Acton Meeting after she returned from a similar tour. All she said then made the tour seem very worth while.

The 2010 Quaker Service and Study Tour of Bolivia is planned for July 9, 2010. We meet and work with some of the world’s 3rd largest population of Quakers, all Aymara Indians, visit projects of Quaker Bolivia Link that are dramatically improving life for rural families who live in some of the world’s worst rural poverty, meet University scholarship students and high school scholars supported by Bolivian Quaker Education fund. And we’ll learn much about the history and culture and visit Inca ruins and Lake Titicaca, Peru. We see evidence of the dramatic changes with the end of apartheid under the leadership of Evo Morales.
Optional extensions include Machu Picchu. Information and some great photos at www.TreasuresoftheAndes.com
