ATTACHMENT C: NH-ARES SECTION NET SCRIPT

PREAMBLE:
“This is net control, calling the New Hampshire ARES Section Traffic and Coordination Net.” (Repeat 3 times)
“This is a directed net used to coordinate message traffic between nets, and to coordinate NH-ARES operations. Participation in this net is limited to net liaison and key served agency stations, and ARES leadership. All other stations are invited to monitor and offer assistance when requested.”
“Please state your FCC call, tactical call, and traffic status when calling in. All stations are reminded to log each station checking into the net.”
CHECK-INS:
“Any station with emergency traffic, please check in now.”
(Acknowledge all stations heard)
“Any relays?”
(Handle any emergency traffic before going on)
“All other stations, with our without traffic, please check in now.”
(Acknowledge all stations heard)
“Any relays?”
NET OPERATIONS:
(The NCS can now conduct the net for the purpose it was activated. Assign alternate NCS, logger, and collect email addresses for Winlink use, including for agency staff.)
FCC call sign
CLOSING:
“This is net control, terminating this session of the New Hampshire ARES Section Traffic and Coordination Net and returning the frequency to regular use. Thanks to all stations who participated. <FCC Callsign> clear.”
(A training version is available on the Net Training page at www.nh-ares.org.)
(At this point, assign an alternate net control from one of those stations checking in. Base the decision on ability to hear signals, NCS experienced at their station. Alternate NCS operators should continuously log the net as though they were the active NCS.)
NET REPORT to Section Leadership
It is the responsibility of each net control station to send a net report to the SEC for actual events, or ASEC for Training, via email. This report does not need to be an ARRL formatted message. The report should contain the following:
- Call signs of local liaison stations that checked into the net.
- Call signs of Section and Regional ARES leadership that checked into the net.
- Call signs of all other stations that checked into the net, listed with local group or other affiliation.
- Brief description of what took place on the net.
