Dover Quarter Meeting
This Sunday, October 29th, there is a Dover Quarter Meeting for Business at our Meeting House. You are all encouraged to attend. Guests from other Quaker meetings in our Quarter will be joining us for Worship and lunch before the Business Meeting.
Dover Quarter’s tradition is to eat together with everyone bringing their own brown bag lunch and the host meeting (US!) provides soup, coffee, tea, water, juice, and a little dessert! We have 2 people making 2 different soups. If you would be interested in bringing juice or a dessert, please contact Kathy Urie, CFM host Coordinator, 603-296-5659.
Hello Friends,
We gather again as a Quarter this Sunday, 10/29. We will be at Concord Friends Meeting, 11 Oxbow Pond Road, Canterbury, NH. Meeting for singing is at 10:00 and worship is at 10:15 am. Our business meeting will begin at 1 pm. Both will also be on Zoom; the links are below.
There are a number of attachments: the agenda, July 30 minutes, Brian Drayton’s annual report, and an Anti-racism remonstrance brought forward for discussion. It is a full agenda. I look forward to being together.

News from Matt
Hello everyone,
To outsmart myself (and my perfectionism), I am writing you this simple (and much overdue update), about how I am doing in Ireland. I am preparing three papers for a deadline in December while doing my best to manage the stress, get out, and enjoy Dublin while I can. Nonetheless, I anticipate returning to the U.S. December 14th and will be home until January 20th so I look forward to seeing you all the Christmas and the New Year season. Stay warm.
With love,
Matt

A group of us from the UU and South Churches have been working with a family with four kids from Afghanistan. When they were fleeing the country, four of their other children did not make it through the airport gate. As of yesterday, they all have passports, so now we are raising funds to make sure we can get them home when the State Department moves on their case.
Because the kids are in so much danger, we aren't using any social media, but please pass this on to anyone who might be interested. The food will be delicious and knowing that she is working on her children's behalf has already lightened Shazia's - aka mom - heart. She needs the love of this community.
Thanks,
Cheryl Bourassa
A WALK IN THE CONCORD AREA
On Tuesday, October 31st you are invited to take a walk in the Concord area, east of Interstate 93. We will meet at the Knowlton Forest trailhead on Hot Hole Pond Road at 10:00 am. You can consult Map 12 of Concord’s vast trail maps, if you like, but here are written directions.
Directions:
Take I 93 and get off at exit 16 and turn east.
At the traffic circle take the third exit onto Mountain Road.
Turn right onto Shaker Road.
Turn right onto Hot Hole Pond Road.
Knowlton Forest trailhead will be on the right in a short distance.
(These directions represent about 5 miles distance, perhaps.)
At this trailhead there are several trail options. Faith will bring the map to make our decision.
