09.3 Earthcare Ministry Committee – The clerk shared an e-mail from Rebecca McKenzie, co-clerk of NEYM Earthcare Ministry Committee. In response to a 2016 NEYM minute Friends have continued work on meeting the challenge of reducing our carbon footprint. Rebecca writes, “The carbon calculator we have chosen to take baseline data has the advantage of helping participants create an individualized plan for their way to accomplish this reduction. It also has the capacity to store the baseline data of individuals and meetings to be retrieved at a later date and used as a guide for the 10% reduction. A letter will be sent to all monthly meetings by NEYM Clerk, Fritz Weiss, soon encouraging participation in this project. Please know there are members on the EMC who are available to help with any questions or supportive resources for the foundational Inner Transformation and Outer Transformation work necessary for the success of this project. Most important, however, is the realization that the Holy Spirit is calling us to awaken to our need at this point in history to be bold in God’s service. Our future depends on us being the people we have been waiting for. Please relay this message to participants at Dover Quarterly Meeting.”
09.4 Climate Change – Jay O’Hara, an advocate working on issues related to actions and issues around climate change will be traveling around NH November 12-14.
09.5 World Quaker Day – As a part of the Weare-Henniker Meeting’s outreach plan the Meeting is inviting folks from around the community to celebrate a special “Open House” on October 7th. This past summer they had a similar event in partnership with the 250th community celebration. They distributed many “Quaker message cookies.”
The meeting closed with silent worship which led into worship sharing introduced by Jnana Hodson on how we settle into silence and what we experience during meeting for worship.

** Restricted Funds are the “Mary G. Morrell and Horatio S. Morrell Trust Funds. Such funds are dedicated to help ‘poor … ministers …in the service of the Lord.’” (In the 1st Month 2000 Dover Quarterly Meeting for Business minute, the treasurer was directed to maintain $1000.00 of the Restricted Funds as “principal” in keeping with restrictions on the funds, with the remainder available for use by the Quarter.)
In 7th Month 2017, it was agreed that interest earned on the H. S. Morrell Trust Fund will be accumulated and available as allowed by the Fund.
