Concord (NH) Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends
Sixth Month 14, 2015
Attending: 12
6.1 The meeting opened with a reading from the Advices & Queries and a period of worship.
6.2 Financial Report: David Woolpert presented the actual figures for the end of the fiscal year. The net income of $1084 includes a $1000 donation in memory of Susan Chambers. Although contributions were $500 less than budgeted, expenses were $848 less than budgeted. All support items were paid as budgeted.
6.3 FY 2016 Budget: Friends discussed the FY 2016 budget. Friends approved adding a contribution of $200 to Woolman Hill to the support section of the budget and increasing the donation line by $200. Friends noted that increasing the rental income would be another possible source of additional income. Friends approved the budget as amended.
6.4 Gift in Memory of Susan Chambers: Friends discussed how the Meeting might appropriately use the gift in memory of Susan Chambers. Remembering Susan's lifelong passion for gardening, Friends approved putting the funds in a garden reserve to be used toward finishing the landscaping around the Meetinghouse.
6.5 Outreach Committee: The Outreach Committee reported that the Meeting will have a tent at the Canterbury Fair on July 25th and will need Friends to take shifts in staffing it. Sherry Snook will be designing a children’s art project to be offered there.
6.6 AFSC Fundraising Singalong: The Outreach Committee is planning on using an AFSC fundraising singalong with Peter Blood and Annie Patterson as an opportunity for outreach on October 10th. This would be followed by opportunities to singalong from the new Rise Up Singing at the Meeting house during the upcoming months.
6.7 The meeting closed with worship.
