Minutes of Meeting for Worship for Business (draft)

Concord (NH) Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends

Third Month 9, 2014

Attending:  20

3.1  The meeting opened with an extended time of worship sharing that reflected on nurturing our children's spirituality.

3.2  State of Society, 2013:  We discussed the draft of the 2013 State of the Society report.  Friends approved the amended version which will be attached.

3.3  Financial Report:  David Woolpert presented the financial report. (add income, expenses, net figures)

69% in 60% out, need to raise $5,000 by the end of the year.

3.4  Brokerage Account Authorization:  The Budget Committee recommends adding Virginia Barker to the Wells Fargo brokerage account as an authorized signer.  Ruth Heath is currently the only authorized signer.  This would authorize either of them to make such decisions as signing checks and deciding to sell any stocks.  This account is used to receive gifts of stock and liquidate them (usually immediately); money then gets transferred to our checking accounts.  Friends approved.

3.5  NH Community Loan Fund:  The Budget Committee recommends that we invest $5,000 of our reserves in five individual loans for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 years to the NH Community Loan Fund.  Friends approved.

3.6  The meeting closed with worship.
